  • ⭐ The Hi-Tech project is a project of the Student Association in conjunction with Perach, which involves female students studying scientific and technological subjects personally mentoring high school girls throughout the city. In order to promote and encourage young girls to integrate into these professions in the future.

    In general:
    How much is the scholarship? 7,000 shekels + 2,600 shekels grant for citizens which do reserves in the IDF (at least 10 days a year).
    Do you volunteer? Yes, in total 120 annual hours – which comes out to 4 hours per week (twice a week for 2 hours each time) of meeting with the young teen, monthly training sessions, and two seminar days during the year.
    Who is it suitable for? Students of scientific and technological professions (engineering, medicine, natural sciences) who want to help young girls from around Beer Sheva realize their potential.

    The Ruth Vrobel Foundationgrants scholarships to students worth 6,000 shekels.
    The scholarships in the Hug project will be awarded to students studying medicine, nursing, social work, occupational therapy or physical therapy and are willing to perform 120 hours of activity in order to receive the scholarship.
    The Hug scholarship for students is nationwide, and will be open for submission to all students registered in a recognized institution.

  • How much money? 12,000 shekels
    Need to volunteer? Yes, the activity includes attendance at two initiation sessions per week for a total amount of approximately 120-150 hours per year.
    Who is it suitable for? For students with a background in guidance
    The submission must be made in the months of July-September, when an advantage will be given to students with an instructional/volunteer background.
    In order to receive the scholarship, the student must attend two meetings a week for the benefit of the initiation of students in elementary schools, and in the amount of 120-150 hours of activity per year.

  • How much money? 1,000-2,500 dollars
    Need to volunteer? No, there is no need for volunteering in exchange for receiving the scholarship.
    Who is it suitable for? The HIAS scholarship is a scholarship intended for new immigrant students who immigrated to Israel after 2007. If the student immigrated from Ethiopia, an application can also be submitted if he immigrated after 1990.

    Need to volunteer? No, it is not necessary to volunteer to receive the scholarship.
    Who is it suitable for? The scholarships are awarded to students with a low socioeconomic status who have been released in the last 5 years
    The Eli Cohen Foundation grants voluntary scholarships of 2,500 shekels to students who have been released from military service in the last 5 years.
    Significant priority will be given to students who are new immigrants, lone soldiers, or members of minorities. In addition, the student must have a low socioeconomic status.
    The submission is made every year from mid-August to mid-September, when answers are usually awarded only to those received in the area of the month of November.
    Another condition for applying is to be a student at an institution recognized by the MLA, where at the end of the registration the association will award 10 scholarships to the most suitable students.

  • How much money? 5,000 shekels

    Need to volunteer? The student must participate in four hours a week which mainly include workshops and lectures
    Who is it suitable for? The program is intended for Jewish students who have graduated from a public high school, who wish to engage in the content of deepening their Jewish identity.

    Receiving the scholarship is conditional upon participation in classes on Judaism, relationships, society and morality, the human soul, personal empowerment, and more. In addition, the scholarship also includes experiential cultural events such as concerts, Shabbats, tours, workshops, etc., all in the scope of up to 4 hours per week.
    The scholarship is intended for Jewish students (secular/traditional), and you can join the activity in all parts of the country.
    You can apply by registering on the Milgapo website and by requesting automatic submission for the scholarship. Admission to the scholarship is moderated by personal interview.

  • How much money? 7,000 shekels.
    Need to volunteer? Yes, in order to receive the scholarship, one must do 130 hours of social activity with at-risk youth per year (about 54 shekels per hour).
    Who is it suitable for? For female students who have completed full and meaningful national service and have up to 5 years of teaching experience since being discharged.
    In order to apply, the student must be a discharged soldier (or properly perform national service), up to 5 years after discharge, with training experience.
    The program includes the annual accompaniment and training of a group of boarding school girls in order to prepare them for service and accompany them personally, and also contains weekly group workshops and individual trainings.
    It is possible to do the volunteering hours almost all over the country, an advantage is given to female students with a car or other mobility ability.

  • How much money? There are 3 different programs where the scope of the scholarship varies between 10,000 and 15,000 shekels.
    Need to volunteer? Yes, the programs require between 160 and 200 annual volunteer hours.
    Who is it suitable for? The scholarships are intended for undergraduate and graduate students who come from the social and/or geographic periphery.

  • Ben Gurion’s Department of Social Involvement invites you to register for the Telam program to promote socially sensitive leadership that entitles you to an annual scholarship in the amount of 10,000 shekels.
    As part of the program, the participants in the program will contribute their skills to the community (100 hours of activity per year) in a variety of activities with different audiences: populations at risk, populations with special needs, and more.
    In addition, they will participate in a theoretical program that includes lectures and workshops in concentrated seminars, coordinator meetings once a month. (In the months when a seminar will be held, there will also be a coordinator meeting) and at the ceremony for the end of the year of activity in the department.
    Students at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev with high social awareness, an average grade of the matriculation certificate or degree studies of at least 80 and financial necessity may apply. Priority will be given to students from the periphery or from a low socioeconomic background.
    Participation in the program is permitted until the completion of the student’s degree (and no more than 3 years) subject to fulfilling the commitments in the program to the satisfaction of the social engagement department.

  • How much money? 11,800 shekels according to the following breakdown:
    – Rent subsidy scholarship 3,000 shekels
    – Travel scholarship about 1,300 (according to free monthly rate) shekels

  • The program is intended to encourage and assist the outstanding members of the periphery to acquire a quality academic education in higher education institutions after their military service and to form a pool of quality professionals for the leading industries in Israel. The program allows young people to acquire a high added value, technological-scientific profession, and create opportunities where the graduates can join and contribute to the leading forces in the industry.
    The students in the program will study for a B.A. in Engineering or Computer Science and will receive personal guidance and academic and financial assistance.
    At the same time as their studies, the students will integrate practical experience in leading companies in industry and hi-tech, according to the field of their studies, thereby gaining significant professional experience in preparation for entering the world of employment and career advancement.
    The program is in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and the Foundation and Unit for Orientation of Discharged Soldiers, of the Ministry of Defense and private donors.

  • The uniqueness of the Rothschild Ambassadors program is the combination of knowledge, awareness, action and social leadership and a process of personal, academic and professional development at the same time as academic studies. Through innovation and constant learning, the program sets a high standard for ambassadors and embassies. From a broad point of view, the program deepens horizontal partnerships within the framework of a social practicum – a unique model for activity in social organizations – and the creation of ventures with a broad community impact.
    Acceptance criteria:

    Young people who are motivated for social action and willing for significant social action and commitment to the community – priority will be given to residents or expats from the social and geographic periphery.

  • A brief description of the scholarship: “Here Live” is a social and innovative residential project by the National Union of Students and the Ministry of Social Equality. As part of the program, the students live in homes of senior citizens and perform social activities together. The project is a response to the most pressing needs among both populations. On the one hand, the phenomenon of loneliness that is common among senior citizens living alone, and on the other hand, the high housing prices that the students have to deal with, most of whom live in rented apartments.

    For the shared residence and performing 160 annual hours of social activity, a scholarship of 8,000 shekels will be awarded.

    Conditions for acceptance:

  • The ISAF Foundation from France grants scholarships to promising students coming from the economic-social-geographical periphery of Israel, emphasizing their socio-economic status, academic potential and social involvement.
    Requirements:
    Mandatory attendance at the social leadership program which includes about 15 meetings during the year on Fridays.
    Social action in the community in one of the social projects in the program, amounting to 4 hours per week
    Training sessions in the scope of 5-8 sessions throughout the year.
    Acceptance criteria: Promising students from the economic-social-geographical periphery of Israel are admitted to membership in the ISAF Foundation, with an emphasis on their socio-economic status, academic potential and social involvement.
    Additional admission conditions:
    Full military or civilian service.
    Full scope of academic studies.
    In the coming year, the student will start the first or second year of studies for a bachelor’s degree with a balance of at least three years of studies.

  • If you love people and believe in community social action then come join a young, vibrant and high-quality team of students in the Larry and Lillian Goodman Open Apartments Program! The open apartments program provides its student members with a unique opportunity to experience and get to know the community life in the city of Be’er Sheva, to influence and bring about a significant change in the community and to learn and grow.
    The program allows its student members to integrate into a special and experiential social activity that educates about values and the development of a healthy and just society. The students carry out various activities for the sake of the community and with the participation of the community in order to promote shared community responsibility (empowering the community, creating a space for action, cultivating leadership skills and social entrepreneurship among the students).

    The activity takes place in the scope of 8 hours per week on average, which include, among others:

    Instructing classes (art, music, sports, cooking, theater, enrichment and more).
    “Family adoption” – personally mentoring a family from the neighborhood.
    Participation in the enrichment program for students.
    Participation in community events (a project to paint apartments for the community, a community theater show, etc.).
    Participation in activities intended for the residents of the neighborhood (mainly on holidays) as well as a concentrated summer activity that lasts about four days.
    The program provides a high reward of rent reimbursement (in specific areas in the old neighborhoods of the city) up to an amount of 1,200 shekels for the months of October – June in the relevant year, as well as a one-time scholarship of 2,000 or 3,000 shekels (depending on the residential area).

  • Young business leadership is looking for sensitive people to lead at-risk youth groups across the country.
    Amount of the scholarship: 8,000 NIS.

    Responsibilities of the campus coordinator:
    Facilitating Achva once every two weeks on campus or alternatively holding a significant activity on campus with an outline that will be agreed upon in advance.
    Continuous activity on LGBT issues in accordance with the nature of the campus and the annual work plan.
    Participation in two training seminars and two national enrichment days during the year.
    Creating a highlight event that appeals to the entire campus community.
    Raising a pride event on the campus during the pride week that appeals to the entire campus community.
    Training in a national seminar during a weekend in the second semester.
    Keeping in regular contact with the student union of the campus where the activity takes place.

    Scholarship requirements:
    A student studying at an academic institution recognized by the MLA or MHT.
    Motivation for social change and impact on the campus community (LGBTQ and general).
    Leadership, responsibility, initiative.
    Experience in guiding and/or guiding groups and/or motivating and managing volunteers.
    Excellent interpersonal skills.
    The ability to produce events – an advantage.

    *All the duties of the headquarters include:
    Participation in two training seminars throughout the year.
    Participating in three seminars for the team and all participants in the fellowship.
    Participation in two national enrichment days during the year.
    Headquarters meeting once every three weeks (12 per year).
    Accompanying and leading a team (for the relevant positions).
    Receiving ongoing support.

    Pedagogy coordinator:
    Amount of the scholarship: 9,750 shekels
    Do you want to be responsible for creating an infrastructure for the Achva’s activity throughout the country? Do you want to build the support system of the coordinators? Do you enjoy training?
    The role:
    Instructing a team of up to 3 fellows
    Responsible for building the pedagogy and accompaniment processes at all levels (headquarters, teams, field).
    Responsible for settlement and control of the accompanying and training processes at all levels.
    Responsible for the content of 5 seminars (adjustments and construction) and the two national enrichment days.
    Active participation and involvement in all fraternity events throughout the year.
    Scholarship requirements:
    A student studying at a recognized academic institution
    Significant experience in training/instructing groups and/or managing community processes – mandatory
    Responsibility, initiative, creativity.
    Drive and self-propelled ability.
    Experience in managing a pedagogical system – a significant advantage
    Background in the LGBT world – an advantage

    Digital Coordinator
    Want to bring Achva’s incredible activities to the front line? Want to produce quality content that will reach students? You’ve already heard so much about the Achva and you don’t understand how everyone hasn’t heard yet?
    The role:
    Managing Achva’s digital activity: Facebook page, Instagram, and the website.
    Advertising Achva’s activities throughout the year.
    Production of 3 digital campaigns during the year.
    Creating original and high-quality content from the activity in the field, as well as to arouse interest among students.
    Apprenticeship of campus coordinators in the field of media.
    Scholarship requirements:
    A student studying at a recognized academic institution
    Experience in the digital field – mandatory
    Creativity, flight, responsibility, initiative
    Drive and self-initiated ability.
    Graphic design – an advantage.
    Background in the LGBT world – an advantage.

  • The Ben Gurion University’s Student Union in collaboration with the ‘Together Association’, the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Municipality of Be’er Sheva, are issuing a call for the recruitment of students for social activities within the framework of the ‘For the Mind’ program. The program offers enrichment courses for people with special needs,  the upcoming cycle will be the 6th cycle of the program. The purpose of the program is to provide a general education at the university for a specific population. The program includes 4 enrichment courses: management, introduction to medicine, citizenship, and geography. Each class will have about 15 students with special needs (mild mental retardation, rehabilitation population, high-functioning autism, cerebral palsy).

    The teaching is in pairs, together with another student from the same school. The meetings will be held on the university campus with the exception of 2 tours of the city, once a week on Tuesdays between the hours of 18:00 and 20:30 throughout the academic year.

    In addition, the students are obliged to participate in a theoretical program of a lecture/workshop/seminar on issues of society, economy and leadership in Israel as part of ‘public activists’.

    For participating in the program, a scholarship of 9,000 shekels will be paid to the student.

    The activity includes great responsibility, independent work, initiative, ability to work in a team and good human relations.

    Scholarship amount: 9,000 shekels

    Street making – what do we do?
    1. Creating connections between the old residents of the city and the student body through community events in the urban space.
    2. Strengthening the affinity and sense of local pride of the permanent residents and students for their living space – changing the image of the old neighborhoods in order to show that with the help of joint work, significant improvements in the quality of the neighborhoods can be brought about.
    3. Encouraging activism of the residents – the participation of the residents as partners in maintaining the neighborhood over time.
    4. Strengthening local bodies operating in the old neighborhoods
    5. Improving the visibility of the streets in the old neighborhoods of the city, over time

    Acceptance criteria:
    A desire to promote the community activity of the project,
    Open-minded
    Experience in community social work – an advantage
    *The work is physical work, among other things in gardening
