The Academic Department is an academic help service for students in all fields related to their studies and provides support and guidance in order to help complete their degree successfully. The department consists of two offices – academic assistance and academic projects.
Academic Initiatives Office
The office focuses on the planning and implementation of projects designed to promote the quality of teaching in the long term in cooperation with the unit for the promotion of the quality of teaching. Examples of this are the establishment of a training course for practitioners in the Faculty of Engineering, the “campus lecturer” and the “campus practitioner” to encourage and promote inspiring lecturers and more. In addition to this, the office provides academic services to students – the library at the Aran Library, a summary library at the student’s house, workshops and enrichment lectures for studies and more. Besides the quality of teaching and academic services, the office promotes the community of students from advanced degrees and provides them with answers. These students receive workshops designed for them, academic response, promotion of the alumni community and more.
Academic Assistance Office
The office consists of 5 academic assistance coordinators and an academic assistance manager. The purpose of the office is to provide professional and service information to every student. The office has reception hours, answers telephones, answers emails, and answers messages in the dedicated Facebook group for students in order to reach every student on a variety of platforms, for a comprehensive and optimal response to all who apply for information and assistance. The office’s work is done on several levels: professional advice in academic fields, leading, accompaniment and mentoring of the departmental committees, making regulations and procedures accessible, accompaniment to disciplinary trails and maintaining continuous contact with university officials.
