Academic Assistance Office

The office consists of 5 academic assistance coordinators and an academic assistance manager. The purpose of the office is to provide professional and service information to every student. The office has reception hours, answers telephones, emails, and Facebook groups for students in order to reach every student on a variety of platforms which allows for a comprehensive and optimal response to all who apply for information and assistance. The office’s work is done on several levels:

  • Professional advice in academic fields – the academic assistance coordinators are the “bureaucracy experts” and have extensive professional knowledge in various academic subjects. Their role is to guide and assist any academic problem that arises for students during their studies.
  • Leading, accompanying and mentoring departmental committees – the role of the departmental committees is to represent the students in collective problems and requests before the academic and administrative staff of the department and faculty where they study. The students who volunteer for the position of department committee representative receive close supervision from the academic assistance coordinators and recognition from the student union. During the year, each coordinator accompanies the department committees for which she is responsible, directs them to the relevant parties in the university, and gives advice on writing and formulating applications sent to the academic and administrative staff.
  • Regulations and procedures – with the help of the various coordinators, you can find out and consult about the various articles of the regulations and better understand your rights and obligations.
  • Accompanying disciplinary committees – the academic assistance coordinators serve as observers in the university’s disciplinary committees and also assist and accompany students summoned to these committees in the disciplinary procedure. The coordinators brief the students prior to the discussion about the expected procedure and the conduct of the disciplinary law, and assist the students in drafting appeal letters if necessary.
  • Maintaining continuous contact with university officials – the academic assistance coordinators maintain continuous contact with officials in the departments, faculties and the university (including the examination section and the student deanship) in order to initiate in-depth processes to improve the quality of teaching and to address problems that arise from the students.
