Program Highlights:
One of the challenges in the city of Beer Sheva is the maintenance of old buildings in the old neighborhoods. Accordingly, the Student Union and Social Involvement Department in cooperation with the municipality of Beer Sheva and the Management for urban renewal are interested in supporting the initiatives of active residents who wish to improve the exterior of their building.
The basis for these initiatives is to improve the common living because it is the establishment of a community infrastructure in the form of a building committee. The program offers comprehensive support and a renovation kit for the building according to the needs of the house committees that will be established. Joining the program requires creating a building committee and presenting a protocol for a tenant meeting.
The second phase of the program will focus on steps to develop the building space. The program will be implemented in a pilot model on a limited number of buildings.
