The law defines two ways through which reservists can get 2 additional academic credit points – as part of reserve service or social involvement, and here are the conditions:
– The two points will be part of the total points needed for the degree and not in addition to them. In degrees where there is a requirement to study general courses, the volunteer/reserve points will be calculated as part of them. In cases where the degree does not have an elective in general courses, the points will be calculated as part of the elective courses in the department.
– The two credits will be credited to you, but will be without a score (that is, a “passing” score will be recorded).
– It is possible to be entitled to two credits once in the degree, that is, duplication of credits for reserve service and for social volunteering will not be possible.
– After getting the points, it will not be possible to change or take another course instead.
– The benefit entitles you to an exemption from completing the course, but does not entitle you to pay for the credit points!
– Please Note ❤: The period in which the required days can be completed resets every year, meaning that all the days that are done must be done between August 1 and July 31.
– You may apply for the program until the end of the degree.
Who is entitled to the 2 Reserve points?
Those who served in reserves service for least 14 days, between the dates 08.01 and 07.31.
Note: For first-year students, October 23, 2022, not August 1, 2022
Eligibility is granted only once during the degree
The order of operations in apply the application:
– Prepare the confirmation form on the execution of the reserve days (3010 form) containing all the relevant reserve days from the IDF reserve website.
– The screenshot of the reserve website as described in the sending procedure.
– File out a declaration form – there is no need to write anything in the name and number of the course.
– The documents (3010 as a PDF, screenshot, and application form) must be sent to the relevant reserve coordinator by email, and wait for the confirmation of eligibility in a return email.
– The filled documents will be transferred to the departments, and eligibility will appear on the grade sheet up to two weeks after receiving the approval.
– The procedure can be performed until the end of the degree.
Please Note ❤ – it is your responsibility to verify about two weeks after receiving the confirmation from the reserve center that the application has been sent, and that the eligibility does appear on the grade sheet (through the login).
