Corona Virus Updates
It is important that you know that the Student Union is here for you! Whether you are stuck in quarantine, unsure about the current situation, or need some extra moral support, remember that you are not alone, we are here for you and you are welcome to write to us at any time.
Please stay updated here for the constantly changing Ministry of Health regulations and University guidelines. While the upcoming Student Union events have been postponed we will be posting fun ideas for things to do while at home.
We started a complex semester with many changes and a lot of uncertainty. Despite the current situation it is important to us that you know that we are attentive to all of your questions and problems that are constantly arising and we are working with the university to find the best possible solutions for each situation. The main issues we are dealing with are:
? Promoting response from all student departments' secretariats, even after reducing administrative staff work hours
? Encouraging professors to record lessons
? Alternatives to summer courses in the chance that they do not open
? Alternatives to English courses in the chance that they do not open this summer
? Finding solutions to canceled general courses (including an alternative to sports courses, potentially opening a Kayamut course for the Faculty of Engineering and opening more places in the online courses)
? Checking active volunteer places at this time to enable the receival of 2 credits and the possibility of volunteering for half the number of hours (15) to receive 1 credit.
? The results are not immediate, but we are working every day to ensure solutions to all of these problems, and of course we will keep updating when decisions are made.
We would like to thank the departmental committees for concentrating the problems and referring to the professors. We strongly recommend, with every problem, to first contact your professor- in many cases this is the first step to the solution.
We remind you that we are here to help and answer academic questions. The Student Union's Academic Assistance Office holds telephone reception hours on the following days and hours:
Sunday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The hotline numbers: 054-2087258, 054-3106338, 054-3921673
(If no one answers, try the others)
May we have good news soon. Lots of health!
